"I'M WAITING FOR ANOTHER PERFORMANCE", TEN HAG PUTS PRESSURE ON MARTIAL.

Anthony Martial used the international break to get well after the injury he suffered prior to the world cup. However, as his coach Erik Ten Hag made clear during a press conference, his situation is still precarious.

Anthony Martial is having trouble demonstrating the talent that was evident at AS Monaco eight years after joining Manchester United. The striker has steadily fallen out of the starting lineup as a result of injuries and underwhelming performances. However, since the championships have resumed, the Frenchman is beginning to get some playing time. He was even established in the last two encounters.

Martial contributed to the Reds Devils' (3-0) victory over Nottingham. He did not replicate this performance, which failed to impress his coach, against Wolverhampton. Erik Ten Hag anticipated more from him: "It is unusual for Martial to appear every three days. He hasn't performed recently. It was probably not his game against the Wolves. With his earlier efforts, I was happier. It is clear the potential impact he may have."

Despite Ten Hag's desperate need for another striker. However, the Dutch manager is certain that Martial's upcoming match will be at a higher level: "Players can't be counted on to perform at their peak level at all times. I anticipate him giving another, stronger effort in the following game, and I believe he will succeed. He has a positive influence on our game, and I am pleased with his performance in many games."
